From time to time we are asked to find new homes for Irish Water Spaniels for a variety of reasons. In 2006 we re-homed a total of two dogs and assisted with two more.
Thankfully, there are currently (July 2008) no dogs requiring new homes but if we hear of any we shall place the details here.
If you are interested in giving an Irish Water Spaniel a loving new home please contact the Secretary to register your interest.

Foster Homes.
The Sporting Irish Water Spaniel Club has now set up a scheme to help any "rescue" dogs, or any members' dog(s) who may be in need of a temporary home.
We can usually place rescue dogs from home to a new home, but, should the need arise it would be nice if we could place in a "foster" home if a permanent place is not readily available.
Sometimes a member has to be "hospitalised" due to illness, or has to be away from home in the case of an emergency for days, or a week or so.
In February 2008 the scheme placed its first IWS into a temporary foster home whilst the owners find a new home to buy.
We are looking for people with a good knowledge and experience of dogs (and IWS if possible) who could offer a temporary home to a member, this would be a service to help the member, so no payment(s) would be involved.
If you can, or could help, please offer your details to Rescue / Welfare Co-ordinator. Louise Bailey (details below) Thank you.
If you require someone to foster your IWS then please get in touch.
